Hey Mom!

This week was good, but it passed by so unbelievably fast that I can hardly remember what happened. I guess that’s why they encourage us to write in our journals every day, haha. It hasn’t been too hot lately, which has been really nice. There’s always a nice breeze blowing through the streets as we’re walking. I hope to go to Limón some time as my area, because it’s like the hottest area in Costa Rica, and it’s a humid heat. I’d drop weight like a strong man doing a hang snatch. I’m still losing weight, lol. Went to a pharmacy the other day, and they have scales there. In the past year, I’ve lost about 80 lbs. No big deal. Just a small person.

Anywho, I forgot my camera in the house today, so I can’t send pictures this week, but next week I’ll try to send more.

Today was really busy. We helped out our landlord with shopping at Price Smart (Costco) for stuff for his son’s birthday party today. We helped him take all the stuff down to the kid’s school and set up the classroom for the party. All the kids in the class went to another room in the school to take an end exam, I guess it’s toward that time of the school year here, and we blew up balloons and taped up signs and stuff. It was a big surprise party when the kids came back in the classroom. The dad hired a clown too. It was really fun. It’s weird how popular clowns are here. I didn’t think anyone liked clowns anymore, but they’re big here. The kid was so happy, it was a great feeling.

Anyways, I think that’s it for today, so until next week!

Love you,

Elder Kuoha
